Daylight Saving

October 11, 2016

In autumn when the leaves are red,

Our clocks go back before we get out of bed,

In spring when the tulips become red,

Our clocks gain an hour ahead.

I guess this is part of being an Aussie,

It doesn't matter that we never did this in Africa,

I wake up in the morning and drink a cup of coffee,

It doesn't matter that I hardly did this too in Africa.

When new beginnings come your way,

You grab them with both hands and stay,

When what's in front of you is clay,

You mould it like a potter and pray.

I love daylight savings and my phone changes itself,

More light for everyone not just oneself,

This is something that is beyond myself,

Enjoy things that are beyond yourself.

Daylight Saving.
