Zola the Zulu Girl Book Series

My name is #Percy #Shozi, I grew up in #Durban (#South #Africa). I'm a #children's #author, #singer, #songwriter, #multiinstrumentalist, #authorcoach, #musicteacher and #pianoteacher.

When I was in #school I searched #high and low for #books with #authors that have my #skin #colour. When I hardly found them, I decided to #write my own #stories about my #culture.

I wanted to tell my #story mainly because I #believe that my #voice needs to be #heard. I've #learnt a lot about other #people from different #countries through their #stories #written in #books. I wanted them to #learn about me and where I'm from through #books as well.

#ZolatheZuluGirl is a #book #series about a #young #South #African #girl with a #dad from #South #Africa and a #mum from #Melbourne #Australia.

The #first #book of the #Zola #series is called #WhoAmI? and the #second one is called #ZolaVisitsGogo.

#Zola #loves to #sing, #build and #run.

Like all #little #girls, she wants to have #fun.

She has two #cultures and so much to do.

She was made to #stand out and so are #you.
